Europe Day 30: Lisbon – Home

July 21, 2011August 1, 2018 tangybowser

Last travelling day! Quite uneventful. After trying again and again to ask about the nonexistent shuttle advertised by the hotel, which no one seems to know about, we gave up and decided to take the taxi to the airport. At the airport, we had to pass by many, many gates before reaching our boarding gate.… Continue reading Europe Day 30: Lisbon – Home

Europe Day 29: Salema – Lisbon

July 21, 2011August 1, 2018 tangybowser

Second last traveling day. Time flies! We took our time this morning packing and eating breakfast. The owner of the hotel was kind enough to drive us to the bus stop to embark our long journey back to Lisbon.  Since I mentally prepared myself this morning for am extremely warm train ride to Tunes this morning,  I was… Continue reading Europe Day 29: Salema – Lisbon

Europe Day 28: Salema

July 21, 2011August 1, 2018 tangybowser

Looking forward to a relaxing day, despite my incapability to sleep in. We had a nice breakfast upstairs in the hotel where there was a nice view of the ocean, then we beach time! Next, we had a simple lunch and walked along the waterfront and played with rocks/sand. We then walked around the village to discover another isolated… Continue reading Europe Day 28: Salema

Fish, veggies, and rice - a staple home-cooked meal here in Malaysia. Day 17 post is up! Grilled stingray, a staple when one visits a Malaysian hawker centre. Boiled whole chicken and juicy satays!! My stomach is content ❤️ Nasi lemak - the national dish of Malaysia. It is traditionally served wrapped in banana leaf and includes fragrant coconut rice, anchovies (ikan bilis), peanuts, sambal (a flavourful chili paste) and boiled egg. See today’s blog post for more. Since the last time Aaron was in Malaysia (2020), there is now a lot of new coffee shops serving specialty coffee ☕️ suitable for a coffee snob like Aaron 🤓 Singapore fried vermicelli - Aaron’s favourite dim sum dish. Even though we are not in Singapore (#spoiler, yet), he still must try this. It definitely had more “wok air” than any restaurant in Canada. See today’s blog post for more details.
