July 2, 2011August 1, 2018 tangybowser

Happy Canada Day from Paris! Our celebrations were unremarkable as it consisted of Sands and I singing Oh Canada on the streets of Paris and Romo waving some flags around at the apartment. Europe Day 11: Paris

July 2, 2011August 1, 2018 tangybowser

Breakfast - pain au chocolat aux amandes with café au lait! This was a match made in heaven with the sweetness of the pain au chocolat complementing the bitterness of the coffee. While we sat eating breakfast and people watching, since the seats of all Parisian cafes are conveniently place to face the road -… Continue reading Europe Day 11: Paris

Fish, veggies, and rice - a staple home-cooked meal here in Malaysia. Day 17 post is up! Grilled stingray, a staple when one visits a Malaysian hawker centre. Boiled whole chicken and juicy satays!! My stomach is content ❤️ Nasi lemak - the national dish of Malaysia. It is traditionally served wrapped in banana leaf and includes fragrant coconut rice, anchovies (ikan bilis), peanuts, sambal (a flavourful chili paste) and boiled egg. See today’s blog post for more. Since the last time Aaron was in Malaysia (2020), there is now a lot of new coffee shops serving specialty coffee ☕️ suitable for a coffee snob like Aaron 🤓 Singapore fried vermicelli - Aaron’s favourite dim sum dish. Even though we are not in Singapore (#spoiler, yet), he still must try this. It definitely had more “wok air” than any restaurant in Canada. See today’s blog post for more details.
