June 27, 2011August 1, 2018 tangybowser

We woke up this morning to a not so friendly welcome from the owners of the hotel because we had miscommunication of the check out time. Regardless, we went to another cafe for some pastries and coffee/tea again and chatted for another 2 hours. Next, we explored the perfumery, where Romo almost died from sneezing,… Continue reading Europe Day 7: Florence – Pisa

Europe Day 6: Florence

June 27, 2011August 1, 2018 tangybowser

Breakfast was pastries and coffee/tea in the Mercato Centrale - like a true European. Then we went to visit the amazing Duomo - the biggest church in Florence. This architecture was so grand and the art and the way it was built was just so clever. Even the view at the top of the dome… Continue reading Europe Day 6: Florence

Europe Day 5: Corniglia

June 27, 2011August 1, 2018 tangybowser

We woke up this morning to someone knocking on our door checking to see if our hot water is running since we had problems with that the night before. We then cleaned up and moved our bags into storage because today is our last day in Corniglia. We had lunch at that same cafe we… Continue reading Europe Day 5: Corniglia

Congee, soy milk and youtiao. Simple, delicious breakfast.
Clams! Risked my life eating this. Taste like the ocean. Not my favourite. Enjoyed the rest of my seafood feast here though. See blog for details.
Noodles for days!!!
Found this hidden gem at the food court on the second floor of @imagoshoppingmall! Fried chicken with curry on rice! Delicious 🤤! See today’s blog post for details.

Boiled whole chicken and juicy satays!! My stomach is content ❤️ Nasi lemak - the national dish of Malaysia. It is traditionally served wrapped in banana leaf and includes fragrant coconut rice, anchovies (ikan bilis), peanuts, sambal (a flavourful chili paste) and boiled egg. See today’s blog post for more. Since the last time Aaron was in Malaysia (2020), there is now a lot of new coffee shops serving specialty coffee ☕️ suitable for a coffee snob like Aaron 🤓
