Costa Rica Day 3: La Fortuna

Our day started with a delicious typical Costa Rica breakfast prepared by the family running our accommodations. Such a great start to the day. We then decided to check out the river near our cabin while trying to avoid the horses in our backyard. We then enjoyed the water flowing through our toes while having a nice singing session. Next, we headed off into town to explore and to grab some lunch. We also stopped by the Farmacia to get some hydrocortisone for my erupting eczema and gravol for future nauseating car rides. It was there we found more information about adventure tours we can join while we are here! It was time to head back to our hotel to gather for our nature hike on the Arenal 1968 trail up to the original lava flow. Our tour guide was flamboyantly friendly and offered us much of his knowledge about animals, medical plants, geology and history. We had the chance to see many wildlife during this tour and also had a surreal view of the Arenal Volcano. Our day ended perfectly at the Baldi Hot Springs with 25 steaming pools/natural saunas and 3 waterslides along with a buffet dinner. I am very content.
